South Korean rapper RM sustained an ankle injury in the run-up to BTS‘s comeback concert. According to management, the artist was taken to the hospital on Thursday for examination.

The group will take the stage together again on Saturday for the first time in nearly four years with a major performance in Seoul.

Although RM must wear a brace for the time being and rest for at least two weeks, he plans to participate in the concert anyway. However, he will limit his movements.

The performance is centered around the new album Arirang, which was released on Friday. It is the first BTS album since 2022.

The injury occurred during a rehearsal, RM himself revealed via the platform Weverse. He indicated that he had “overexerted himself a little too much.”

Dancing is not an option for him for the time being. “I can’t participate in the choreography, but I will be on stage,” said RM.

He emphasized that the injury is not serious. More than 260,000 visitors are expected for the open-air concert in Seoul.

The performance can be watched live worldwide via Netflix.
