Stevie Young, AC/DC guitarist, has been admitted to a hospital in Buenos Aires. A spokesperson for the Australian band confirmed this to news agency Reuters.
The 69-year-old musician is undergoing an extensive series of medical tests there.
According to the spokesperson, Young is doing well considering the circumstances. He expects to be back on stage as early as Monday. The band’s planned performances are not currently in jeopardy.
Just a few days ago, AC/DC performed in the Chilean capital, Santiago. The band has scheduled three concerts in Buenos Aires this week as part of the Power Up tour.
Stevie Young is the nephew of founders Angus Young and Malcolm Young. He has been the band’s permanent rhythm guitarist since 2014.
Malcolm Young passed away in 2017 at the age of 64.
