Kevin Spacey has reached a settlement in the United Kingdom with three men who accused him of sexual abuse, British media report.

With this, the American actor appears to be escaping a new lawsuit. Details regarding the terms of the settlement are not known.

Two of the four plaintiffs in an older case filed new proceedings against Spacey. British actor Ruari Cannon joined them as a third complainant.

He waived his right to anonymity. The actor faced a new trial.

According to the alleged victims, Spacey abused them between 2004 and 2015. At the time, he was the artistic director of the Old Vic Theatre in London.

The abuse allegedly took place in the theatre bar, among other locations. Cannon also reached a settlement with the theatre in question earlier this month.

The 66-year-old Spacey lost his role in the Netflix series House of Cards in 2017 following allegations of inappropriate behavior.

Spacey has always denied the alleged abuse. In the summer of 2023, he was acquitted of nine charges in London, but in February of this year, he was charged again.

The new trial was scheduled to start in October.
