Lizzo has written her first children’s book. The book, *Lil Lizzo Meets Sasha B. Flootin*, is based on her own experiences learning to play the flute, the American singer said on the program CBS Mornings on Monday.

“Everyone always asked me how I ever started playing the flute,” said Lizzo. According to the singer, who is regularly seen on stage with the instrument, the book tells that story.

Lizzo named her own flute Sasha Beatrice Flootin’. The name is inspired by Beyoncé’s alter ego, Sasha Fierce. “She is such an inspiration to me, especially when I was growing up.

This is a story about finding your voice. The only way to find your voice is by being yourself and trusting yourself.”

Lizzo started playing the flute when she was ten years old and studied classical music at the University of Houston.

She dropped out of her studies in 2011 to focus on her hip-hop career. Lizzo is best known as a singer. She broke through in 2019 with hits like Truth Hurts and Juice.
