Kendall Jenner has responded in an interview to rumors about her sexual orientation. The 30-year-old model said on Saturday’s podcast “In Your Dreams” that if she had been part of the LGBTQIA+ community, she would have come out by now.
Jenner, known for her work on the reality series “Keeping Up With the Kardashians,” responded to the widespread online speculation that she is queer.
“I understand that coming out isn’t easy, or at least not for most people,” she said. “But I can honestly say that I know myself.
At this point in my life, I would have come out if there was a reason. I wouldn’t have had any problem with that.”
According to persistent rumors, Jenner couldn’t come out because her sexual orientation could harm her family.
Kendall can’t accept the idea that she’s staying in the closet for that reason. “I’ve read some crazy, bizarre things: ‘It’s bad for the family business!’ I think: What? How? I don’t get it!”
Incidentally, Kendall does say that she “doesn’t close doors to new experiences in life,” but she doesn’t want to get ahead of herself.
