Sarah Jessica Parker will receive the Carol Burnett Award in January, a lifetime achievement honor presented by the Golden Globes organization. The actress and producer is being recognized for her impact on the television industry. The award ceremony will take place on January 8, just before the Golden Globes ceremony.

The organization praised Parker for her work both in front of and behind the camera. She has already won six Golden Globes: four for her lead role in Sex and the City and two as a producer of the series.

Parker became internationally famous as Carrie Bradshaw, a New York columnist who writes about love and sex. Sex and the City ran from 1998 to 2004 and later inspired two films. In 2021, the spin-off And Just Like That… followed.

During the same broadcast, Helen Mirren will also be honored. The 80-year-old British actress will receive the Cecil B. DeMille Award for her long career in film, television, and theater.

Previous winners of the Carol Burnett Award include host Ellen DeGeneres and director Ryan Murphy.
