Many actors fear not being hired when they advertise for various companies, but Jamie Lee Curtis was seen in a lot of commercials at the height of her career.

The actress now says that she did this mainly for her daughters.
Pantyhose, car rentals and yogurt: at a certain point Curtis advertised for everything.

You could hardly turn on television in the United States without her being on.

I did it mainly because it allowed me to be home with my children a little more, the now 66-year-old actress tells 60 Minutes. According to Curtis, daughters Ruby and Annie saw their mother very little.

I am an imperfect, working mother. Because no working mother is perfect. We made it look good, but it didn’t always feel that way, says Curtis, who is known for roles in Halloween, Psycho and Freaky Friday.

I now know how much time I was away from my daughters for my own creative outlet.
